Useful informations to request a quote

3D modeling

For the great part of 1a100 creations, a 3D file is required. This allow us to reduce time and costs. We can edit files from the majority of 3D modelers and 2D graphics software available.
Preferred formats: .3dm, .dwg, .dxf, . igs, .stp, .stl.
On demand, 1a100 can generate several mathematicals useful for the realization of the required project or may modify those already achieved.

Architectural models

To have an accurate quotation, it is important to know the scale of the model to be implemented, the dimensions, the materials, the type of required finishes (making examples with images of completed projects) and the reason why the model should be realized.
It’s really essential for us to receive the digital material available, in order to understand the project (plans, prospects, sections and possible 3d files).

Mockup

For a quote we need to know the purpose of the model to be created, the scale you want to achieve, the type of finish and the materials you want to use or, in case, simulate. Often a render instantly describes the request, but we can also interpret sketches or drawings of various types .
If you are looking for a 3D drawn product, we need the original file or an exported one in a compatible format ( .3dm, .3ds, .igs, .stp, .dwg).

Rapid prototyping

If you want a quotation for a rapid prototyping, it is necessary to know the end use of the model, the finish that will have, the main features (mechanical strength, heat resistance, transparency and finish degree).
It’s required a thickness of at least 1mm surfaces compared to the model already in the correct scale, designed in millimeters.
The commonly used file format is .stl, but often it is preferable to receive native files or different ones in one of the compatible formats such as .3dm, .3ds, .igs, .stp.

Laser cut

For laser cutting/engraving it is necessary to send a file in DXF format (Autocad 2000) with paginated items on a 600 x 450 mm working area, with the lines assigned to a specific layer and a corresponding color code for each job, and drawn in millimeters. The items should maintain a minimum distance of 2mm.
If you want to cut more boards of the same material and thickness, you can group them in the same file that will be named with these informations. In order to avoid incorrect operations and additional costs, it is recommended to remove possible double overlapping lines. You should also specify the final deadlines and a telephone number .
The client shall provide all the materials to be used.
Example:
On layer 1 color: Red, all cutting lines
On layer 2 color: Green, all lines to be engraved strong
On layer 3 color: Cyan, all lines to be engraved light
On layer 4 color: Grey, full raster image
File name: “woodpulp-board_2mm.dxf”
For more complex processing you may be required to send .3dm, .dwg, .ai, or .pdf file formats.

CNC Milling

For a milling quote a 3D file should be sent in common accepted formats (3dm, .3ds, .igs, .stp, .dwg) by specifying why you require the processing, materials, features that will have the object and if any finishing operations on the surfaces are needed.
The object can not exceed the maximum dimensions of 430 x 550 x 150mm in 3-axis and for operations on a rotating axis can be exploited 280mm in length to a maximum of 200mm diameter.
Moreover we suggest to send your contacts addresses and technical drawings of the project.
